Bringing Heart and Support to AlphaHouse

At Alternatives Inc., where each individual plays a crucial role in fostering rehabilitation and support, Tanna Eschenko shines brightly as an Administrative Support Assistant within the AlphaHouse program. With her dedicated service spanning seven months, Tanna brings a blend of efficiency, compassion, and a dash of her Montana spirit to her role.

Tanna’s day-to-day responsibilities revolve around the meticulous management of resident documents, ensuring that each file is up-to-date and complete. Her tasks range from document uploads to handling specific document-related assignments, all while lending a helping hand wherever needed.

But Tanna is more than just a diligent worker; she’s a person with a rich background and a passion for life outside the office. Born in Billings, Montana, and raised in Lockwood and Worden, Tanna’s roots run deep in the vast expanse of Big Sky Country. Her educational journey led her to graduate from Huntley Project High School in 2002 and later attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Art with an Emphasis in Photography from MSU-Billings in 2008. Her love for photography transcends into her personal life, where she finds solace in capturing the raw beauty of nature during camping trips in the Montana mountains. Tanna’s love for the outdoors extends to her furry and feathery companions, sharing her home with an array of dogs, cats, chickens, and sheep.

What truly sets Tanna apart is her unwavering dedication to fostering a supportive work environment. For her, Alternatives Inc. isn’t just a workplace; it’s a tight-knit family where support and camaraderie flourish. In her own words, “I feel like I work more with an amazing family rather than coworkers!! It’s nice to work somewhere where you are NOT stressed to the max everyday and everyone is willing to help out when needed.” Tanna cherishes the moments of laughter and camaraderie shared with her colleagues, emphasizing the invaluable support provided by her supervisor, Jenny Spencer. Under Jenny’s leadership, Tanna and her team receive not just guidance but genuine appreciation, often manifested through treats and team lunches—a testament to the inclusive and supportive culture fostered at Alternatives Inc.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tanna’s heart for service extends to her involvement with the Girl Scouts, where she dedicated years of her life from Kindergarten through High School, eventually becoming a Lifetime Member. While her volunteer work with the organization has paused since college, Tanna’s connection with the Girl Scouts remains strong, reflecting her enduring commitment to community and empowerment.

In her journey with Alternatives Inc., Tanna hopes to debunk common misconceptions surrounding individuals within the criminal justice system. She emphasizes that everyone, regardless of past mistakes, deserves a chance for redemption and positive change. Through her daily interactions and dedication to her role, Tanna embodies the core values of compassion, empathy, and support that lie at the heart of Alternatives Inc.’s mission.
